Lisa Bodell on Challenging the Status Quo
I’m a big believer in the saying that, with the exception of gravity, all rules are negotiable. Lisa Bodell, founder and CEO of futurethink, as well as the author of the provocative culture-change book Kill the Company: End the Status Quo, Start an Innovation Revolution, has long been an advocate of questioning the status quo and embracing change.
I wanted to feature this interview in the #GWP300 celebration because I think it’s so easy to get into our own groove and stay in it. Lisa shows us how we can keep sharp, and be on the lookout for new opportunities to innovate.
And I also want to hear from you! What’s your favourite line or takeaway? Share it by either commenting below or tweeting me @BoxofCrayons with the hashtag #GWP300 for your chance to receive a gift from me. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be randomly selecting 10 participants and sending them a coupon for a free ebook version of The Coaching Habit.
In this interview, we discuss:
- Two major problems with “the company.”
- What capabilities are needed to go from zombies to thinkers in a corporate setting.
- Why resilience is so important for entrepreneurs.
- How to build your active collaboration skills.
